The work involves the development and implementation of National Plans of Actions (NPOAs) and regulations for by-catch and ghost fishing for vulnerable marine species, notably seabirds and sea turtles in line with the provisions of the FAO Code of Conduct for Responsible Fisheries as well as the concept of ecosystem approach to fisheries management. Additionally, the project is aimed at developing mitigation policies and regulations to reduce alteration/destruction of mangroves (mainly in Angola) and other vulnerable coastal areas.

Part of the work involve developing an inventory and needs analysis of all coastal Awareness, Education and Training (AET), programmes and initiatives within South Africa.

These documentaries was aimed to raise awareness and develop stories through visual means with a campaign goal for relevant stakeholders in the SADC Water Sector and selected river basins to gain awareness of the key issues and opportunities in the SADC Water Sector and the respective basins. The work involves conducting large-scale stakeholder involvement in five transboundary river systems (i.e. Kunene & Cuvelai, Limpopo, Orange-Senqu, Ruvuma, Zambezi) that includes 10 countries: The project works through technical committees of government officials and other stakeholders, from ground level to inter-government organizations, and is proceeding under the South African Development Community (SADC) umbrella that includes Angola, Botswana, Lesotho, Malawi, Mozambique, Namibia, South Africa, Tanzania, Zambia and Zimbabwe.
