Sustainable livelihood planning reduces human pressures on the environment. Fostering healthy relationships between people and their resources is of paramount importance. EcoAfrica assists local communities in identifying conservation, tourism and resource-based projects that they can develop on their own or with outside support and funding. EcoAfrica works closely with all tiers of government, the private sector and community groups to developing viable alternatives to destructive resource uses. EcoAfrica places particular emphasis on planning for financial self-sustainability at an early stage of a project. Effective project management is a further requirement for the development of sustainable livelihoods.
